Abstract
The objective of our research is to study the relationship between the decision of granting bank loans and the structural and behavioural variables, which concern Tunisian SMEs and their leader respectively. The tests carried out show that the decision of acceptance or refusal of the loan depends on the age and the ownership structure of the company. Outside the accounting books forwarded to bankers, the level of studies, the education in accounting and/or in management and the level of experience of the leader’s favour the granting of the loan.
