Résumé
Dans le cadre de cet article, l’auteur traite de la question des droits des femmes arabes dans un contexte international marqué par les changements politiques et par les transitions sociétales que connaît le monde arabo-musulman. En se référant à la théorie cyclique des révolutions de Crane Brinton et par un retour à l’histoire, loin de tout cynisme idéologique, l’auteur démontre que les grandes révolutions qui ont façonné les relations internationales depuis le 17e siècle, ont été souvent sources d’atteintes aux droits des femmes en dépit des sacrifices consentis par ces femmes pour faire réussir le « fait révolutionnaire ».

Abstract
In this article, the author deals with the question of the rights of Arab women in the actual international context characterized by the political changes and the societal transitions in the Arab-Muslim world. Inspired by Crane Brinton’s cyclical theory of revolution and by a return to history, and distancing himself from ideological cynicism, the author shows that “revolutions” have often been the source of infringements on the rights of women, despite the sacrifices made by these women to enable the “revolutionary event” to succeed.

Resumen
En este artículo, el autor trata de la situación de los derechos de las mujeres árabes en un contexto internacional marcado por los cambios políticos y las transiciones sociales en el mudo árabe-musulmán. Tomando como marco la teoría cíclica de las revoluciones de Crane Brinton y haciendo uso de la historia sin ningún cinismo ideológico, el autor demuestra que las grandes revoluciones que han marcado las relaciones internacionales a partir del Siglo XVII se han constituido en ataques a los derechos de las mujeres, a pesar de los sacrificios hechos por ellas en aras del éxito del “evento revolucionario”.
