Résumé
La Bibliothèque nationale du Québec, qui a pour mandat de rassembler le patrimoine documentaire publié, joue un rôle essentiel dans la vie culturelle du Québec. Après avoir défini le mandat de la Bibliothèque et posé des jalons historiques, l’auteur, président-directeur général de l’organisme, présente les grands dossiers liés à la consolidation et au développement : élargissement du dépôt légal, informatisation, réorganisation administrative et construction.
Abstract
The Bibliothèque nationale du Québec, whose role it is to collect the printed heritage, plays an essential role in the cultural life of Québec. After having defined the mandate of the library and briefly summarised its history, the author, the president and chief executive officer of the library, outlines the major challenges of consolidation and development: expansion of legal deposit, automation, administrative reorganisation and building.
Resumen
La Biblioteca Nacional de Quebec, cuyo cometido es reunir el patrimonio documental publicado, juega un papel esencial en la vida cultural de Quebec. El autor, presidente director general del organismo, tras definir el cometido y hacer un resumen histórico de la Biblioteca, presenta los grandes momentos de su consolidación y de su desarrollo: extensión del depósito legal, informatización, reorganización administrativa y construcción.
