Résumé
Björk est certainement l’une des musiciennes contemporaines dont la maîtrise de la technologie musicale est la plus remarquable. Cet article se propose de revenir sur la rencontre de Björk avec la musique électronique de danse, à la fin des années 1980. L’objectif de cette étude est de nous permettre de mieux comprendre l’attrait exercé sur la chanteuse tant par cette musique que par les outils de sa production ; nous soutenons que cet intérêt s’explique en partie par la position particulière que Björk a occupée lors du renouveau électronique de la musique populaire qui s’est opéré sur le sol britannique au début des années 1990.

Abstract
One of Björk’s most distinguishing features is her mastery of musical technology. The main focus of this article is the encounter between Björk and electronic dance music, at the end of the ’80s. Our objective is to facilitate a better understanding of the Icelandic singer’s appetite for this music and the instruments of its production; this interest, we claim, is correlative to her unique position during the renewal of electronic popular music, which took place in Great Britain at the beginning of the ’90s.
