Résumé
Analyse technique détaillée, assortie de nombreux exemples musicaux et tableaux, de l’oeuvre de Pousseur composée en 1981. L’oeuvre est reliée à un texte polémique de 1968 sur la question harmonique et à un argument programmatique évoquant musicalement cette polémique. Construite comme une succession de citations et d’autocitations intimement imbriquées et ici identifiées, La Seconde Apothéose de Rameau est ainsi vue comme l’emblème du postmodernisme musical. L’auteur cherche également à constamment mettre en rapport l’analyse technique avec une appréciation esthétique de l’oeuvre.
Abstract
A detailed technical analysis, accompanied by numerous musical examples and charts, of Pousseur's work composed in 1981. This piece is related to a polemical text of 1968 on the question of harmony as well as a programmatic illustration that musically evokes the debate. Constructed as a succession of citations and self borrowings intimately interlocked and here identified, La Seconde Apothéose de Rameau (The Second Apotheosis of Rameau) appears as an emblem of musical post-modernism. The author also seeks throughout this article to underscore the relationship between technical analysis and the aesthetic appreciation of the work.
