Abstract

An introduction to the special issue Gender and the Canadian Armed Forces: Does Change Mean Feminist Progress? It situates the special issue within the significant gendered changes that have occurred within the Canadian Armed Forces over the past two decades. The introduction highlights the importance of continued feminist critique of, and engagement with, the military to achieve feminist progress.

Une introduction au numéro spécial intitulé Le genre et les Forces armées canadiennes : Le changement est-il synonyme d’avancées féministes? Ce numéro spécial situe la question dans le contexte des importants changements genrés survenus au sein des Forces armées canadiennes au cours des deux dernières décennies. L’introduction souligne l’importance de poursuivre la critique féministe des forces militaires et l’engagement avec elles pour réaliser des avancées féministes.
