Résumé

Cet article examine le quatrième spectacle solo de Robert Lepage, La face cachée de la lune, d’un point de vue systémique et sur la base du paradigme de la complexité. En prenant appui entre autres sur la notion d’interactions, l’étude cherche à montrer comment Lepage parvient, d’une part, à représenter la figure composite du Sujet contemporain et, d’autre part, à lier le Soi et l’Autre, le passé et l’avenir, l’histoire et la mémoire, le temps et l’espace, l’universel et l’intime, autant de notions considérées comme antagonistes, dans un spectacle solo, qui, tout en étant ouvert sur le monde, invite le spectateur à un voyage intérieur.

Abstract

This article examines Robert Lepage's fourth solo performance, La face cachée de la lune, using a systemic point of view and a paradigm of complexity. Referencing notions such as interaction, this study attempts to demonstrate how, on the one hand, Lepage comes to represent the composite figure of the contemporary subject and, on the other, how he links the Self and the Other, the past and the future, history and memory, time and space, the universel and the intimate, all notions considered antagonistic, in a solo performance that, while remaining open to the world, invites the spectator to embark upon an inward journey.
